With domestic production covering less than 0.5% of consumption, imports—secured through long-term contracts from two foreign sources—remain essential. We supply natural gas wholesale to distribution companies, ensuring reliable delivery to households, electricity producers, and commercial consumers.
Central Asia Oil & Gas accounted for 12% of all gas shipments, selling 2 million cubic meters of gas. International gas sales increased by 3% year-over-year to 2 million cubic meters, driven by increased production.
Gas Operations and Processing Capabilities
Prioritizing gas supply and production, Central Asia
Oil & Gas continues to expand its processing capacity and generate energy
at its own power plants. The Company employs cutting-edge technology across all
sectors to guarantee the highest performance in associated petroleum gas (APG)
consumption. A thorough gas collection and utilization system is integral to
our operations, ensuring efficiency and environmental responsibility.
Our state-of-the-art gas processing plant is capable
of producing both liquid hydrocarbons and dry stripped gas, both of which are
extensively used across Georgian industry and commerce. All Company products
meet high-quality standards and comply with Customs Union and state technical
requirements.
Integrated
Approach to Gas Processing: In 2022, the Company established the Gas Processing
Division (UPG), marking a strategic shift toward an integrated approach to gas
processing expansion. The division oversees the transportation of 1.3 million
cubic meters of LPG, dry stripped gas, and natural gas.
Processing
Infrastructure
Natural gas and natural gas liquids are processed at
three gas processing plants (GPPs) in Georgia, in addition to a petrochemical
complex located on Georgian territory. The associated petroleum gas produced by
our Company is refined into liquid hydrocarbons and marketable gas.
While both oil and gas companies aim to develop gas
infrastructure in Georgia, numerous obstacles remain. For instance, our Company
has invested more than six years in developing this specific area of business,
underscoring our long-term commitment to the sector.
Natural
Gas Supply and Energy Security:
The primary goal of Georgia's energy security
strategy is to supply the social sector with natural gas, as import and
subsequent wholesale distribution are primarily intended to serve so-called
"social consumers"—households and electricity-producing sectors.
Central Asia Oil & Gas maintains long-term
contracts with natural gas suppliers to ensure a steady and reliable supply.
The Company's successful operations and long-term growth are built on
diversified imports and balanced management of gas flows.
As a fully integrated oil and gas extraction company, we manage assets across the entire production cycle — from hydrocarbon exploration and production to transportation, refining, and maintenance services. Our products and services are in strong demand from international clients across the globe.
